Dream About Changing

I just can’t help but tap my foot to this song. Sally Seltmann creates melodic pop that dances right into your heart and brings a little spring to your step with her new album, Heart That’s Pounding. Up until this album she was best known for New Buffalo.

I am really tired, the heat has been unbearable. A little overwhelmed from the last 2 days. Just need music.
The debut album from Local Natives has a few great songs, Airplanes, Wide Eyes and Cubism Dream are probably my favorites from the album.

Yellow Wings Floating

Enjoying the indie-folk music of Ferraby Lionheart at the moment. His new album, The Jack of Hearts just floats right into your heart.
His music reminds me a little of a younger version of Bob Dylan meets Morrissey and they have a crazy weekend in Nashville, I like it.

Something familiar, something I love.
First song that shuffled on tonight was Radiohead, Go Slowly. This is just what I needed, to be taken away into a dream.

There has been so much music flowing through my ears lately that I am just getting to the new album from The Weepies. It was released in August and they will be touring all over the States in October-November.
Delicious folk-pop, like eating candy. Their music makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Perfect after a very long dreadful day.

No More Can I Say

This song and specifically this live version shuffled on tonight while on my way home. There was no traffic because I was at work late and the sun was setting and the sky was a beautiful pink and orange hue. I turned it up… Perfection.

Love Fade

Welcoming everyone back after a long Holiday weekend here in the States.
A debut album from Tamaryn, which is a hazy guitar driven sort of dream-pop… the subject matter makes me want to weep into my pillow. It is still quite beautiful and certainly noteworthy. I love this track.

Someday Will Not Come Again

The first thing I did when I got home was download the new Dead Heart Bloom album, Strange Waves.
The 9 track record takes you on a dreamy guitar driven ambient-folk carpet ride that I never want to end. I could sit and read the lyrics like poetry. A definite progression in their music and I am loving every moment.
A must for 2010 – Buy it here and support the artist directly.
