Sweet Dream

My mom is having surgery tomorrow (well for most of you reading this it will be today, Wednesday) on her shoulder, pretty routine especially for her since she has the muscle tissue of Gumby. Always the mom though, “Don’t worry, I’ll be fine” she says. She is crazy but I love her so. Think happy, wonderful thoughts tomorrow please!

Greg Laswell soothes my soul tonight… He puts all anxiety at ease with his haunting vocals and delicious melodies. The first pick is short but ever so sweet and the second is just so uplifting I could not resist.

“she is crazy but i love her” — that pretty much describes 90% of all mom / daughter relationships, i think! i hope it all goes well. : )

So true! Thanks for the well wishes Marcy! :-)
They started late so she is still in surgery right now, she should be out soon.

I like this guy Laswell. Thoughtful lyrics and not too much “production.”

Best wishes to your mom, hope all goes well.

Oh, by the way, we went to the Doheny Blues Festival last weekend, and heard the most amazing singer, I think you’d like her even if you don’t love the blues. Her name is Ruthie Foster. I won’t put in any links, but a search on YouTube found several videos. Another amazing voice that doesn’t need a lot of production value.

Hey hey, just popping in to see how your mom is. With you for a daughter I’m sure she’s been through enough already.,,lol. Just kidding, you know I’m serious only 11% of the time. Holler if you need anything! Well, don’t holler, you’re way too far away for me to hear you. Email is probably better.

By the way, there’s a little something in your honor on my blog. It’s a bit hidden, but see if you can find it as it will bring a smile to your face. ;)

Thanks Chris, your comment made me smile. I took the day off of work to help my mom today and she is doing better…

I do not know if my patience is dwindling because of what I have been doing all day or what but I just looked at your blog and I need a hint! :-)

Nah, your patience is fine. It was a bit hard to find!

I picked Laswell’s CD up a couple of months ago, and you are right on the money. This is just good stuff, soothing, interesting, subtle. Seems like a good choice for you on a tense night.

Hi Rick, it is indeed a wonderful CD to relax to. Thanks for stopping by :-)

Chris, I found it! Woot! :-)
