I generally don’t get political here and I don’t really plan to sway the direction of the blog that way but tonight is a special night…The first election I voted in was the election of 2000…I had to do everything I could because I was so against Bush becoming our next President but unfortunately that was not the case and for the last 8 years I have been misrepresented!

Tomorrow I am voting in this country’s Super Tuesday primary elections and my vote will be for Barack Obama. My reasons behind my vote are simple, I want him to represent me and my country and I think he will be the best candidate to restore this nations wounds here and in the eye of the rest of the world.

I also wanted to share this very cool music video that Will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas put together in support for Barack Obama.

that video is way cool! i share your obama love and the hope that he can be the leader we need. i don’t get to vote until april, so it will probably be decided by then. but i will be staying up late tonight to watch the returns.

I know I totally love that video, I thought it was so inspiring like most of Obama’s campaign. How is it possible that Philadelphia isn’t part of the Super Tuesday states? I don’t get it…I am going to be right there with you tonight.

Good for you, no matter who you vote for, Rachel! Just the fact that you are voting, and paying attention, it terrific and not nearly common enough among young people (or old people, for that matter.) Even many conservatives feel ready to see Bush go, he hasn’t done their cause much good in the long run.

:-) Yeah, I am kind of a dork about it…After I vote I like to wear my “I Voted” sticker for the rest of the day…Sigh, a dork indeed.
