Thanks Pip!! I would ask you what you are planning to be for Halloween but I know better than that. ;-P

On the weekend, I dressed up as the devil.

Tonight, per our family tradition, my boys and I will go out as a theme. This year it’s Dr. Seuss characters. My youngest kids are the Cat in the Hat and the Grinch (my oldest is too cool to participate in the themes anymore). I’m the other guy from Green Eggs and Ham… not Sam-I-Am, the pusher, but the other guy who initially resists. All custom-made, kick-ass fun-fur costumes, courtesy of my sister-in-law.

Wait ’til you see the pics tomorrow!

I can’t wait to see the pictures indeed!! Those are awesome ideas! I want to come! :)

eldest daughter is dressing up sort of like beetlejuice, only just the makeup and hair. she wants me to do something, too, but i’m feeling uninspired. son is going as jesus, which he did last year, only this year his own hair is long enough and he doesn’t even need a wig. youngest daughter has modified the einstein outfit to be “young albert einstein, mad scientist.” i wish i had more energy tonight but it’s just not there. i’ll have to make do with oohing and ahhing at the little ones. : )

mentok, i can’t wait to see pics too!

Well, right now at work I’m Ozzy Osbourne, but tonight Little Man & I are going as vampires. Maybe I’ll get to suck on some Yummy Mummy’s neck…

hehehe Marcy sounds like you and I are on the same page. :) I am oohing and ahhing right along with you.

And FiL sounds like you have really gotten into the spirit I would love to see some pictures if you have a chance. Hint hint ;-)

I went as an iPod, complete with earmuffs on my arms for the earphones and sewn on play and skip buttons

rachel–i got into the spirit despite myself and had a blast! i’m glad my daughter talked me into it.

andy–what a great idea! some people are so inspired–like you and our friends fil and lyle. : )

Hello you! Well, my “great idea” ™ of becoming a goth Ugly Betty didn’t quite happen – largely due to the fact I went out later on that night to see Mark Kozelek’s show at Oran Mor (and that really wouldn’t have been an appropriate mode of dress in the West End of Glasgow… even though Mark was in a ghoul costume for most of the show!). However, I did put a noose around my neck for tea-time guising with the children… when pushed, I said I was Ian Curtis (I know, ouch…). Hope this finds you well Rachel. Take care, Colin.x
