Peter Bjorn and John, Writer’s Block [Get it]

The poster above is from a free in-store the Swedish indie-pop band Peter Bjorn and John did at Fingerprints on 2/2. They also sold out The Roxy in LA on 2/1. The official US release of Writer’s Block has finally arrived and now I want another live show please. ;-)

Writer’s Block is a solid well paced album, the kind of album you pop in and enjoy all the way through and maybe even repeat it.

You can hear the entire album spin here.

That’s all I got for you at the moment, still looking for a job, learning about the stars and chilling with Puma (she sleeps a lot)

Weeeeeeee for Wednesday!

I’ve been having my own personal PBJ backlash (I’m not sure they noticed) mostly due to the fact that I find embarrassing the echo in their name of Peter, Paul, and Mary (which you will have to admit is a highly mature reason not to like a group.) But you’ve won me back over. Thanks!

I know, I know… I haven’t replied in some time, but I’m always listening. I had to reply to these guys, loved, loved them I did. I should have replied for King of Prussia cause I loved them equally – no favorites – but now it’s all too late and passed the point of no return on being a JCL (Johnny-come-lately).

fb, hehe yeah not sure they noticed your association trip up but it is good to hear you are giving them a second chance.

pip, hey I won’t give you hard time for lack of comments as long as you are loving KoP and Peter Bjorn and John, you are free to past Go and collect $200. Well more like collect some good music…I don’t really have $200. ;-)

Tad, ok that’s fair just as long as you give them another chance. ;-) Not sure why the Spinner isn’t working for you maybe you need some Java thing or something. Try again because I freaking love that place and recommend it to everyone.

Up til this point, I’d only heard the song that everybody seems to have heard. Loved it but didn’t really bother looking further.

These make me want to investigate more – thank you!

And on the job front, I can say from experience that it may take a while but if you stick at it, the right job comes along. Good luck!!

Yet another day of unerring good taste in music. When will it end? Never, I hope.

Coxon, I know what you mean that Young Folks track was seriously played out and I don’t think it is the best choice to represent the album. But I am pleased these songs have tickled your fancy. And thanks so much for the encouraging words! ;-)

Ahhhh shucks Mentok you always make me blush. And Object of My Affection is my favorite song from the album.;-)

I have to say, that I could not agree with you in 100% regarding Peter Bjorn and John, Writer’s Block, but it’s just my opinion, which could be wrong :)
