Since I need to test the new host I thought I would post a favorite…Beck’s, Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometime off the soundtrack from one of my favorite films, The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Enjoy! And wish me luck with this new host. :)

It worked for me. But one suggestion with Filelodge is adding the playtagger to your html code to make it easier for people who just want to preview the music versus download it. Check it out here:

rachel–it worked ok for me. i’ve decided to go with some free options for the near term. my migration got “hung up” and blog-city is dragging their feet as well, so since the blog must go on, i’ve had to get creative as well!

p.s. maybe you could check out my most recent post and see if either of the first two links work? that would be so helpful. thanks!

The lack of hot-linking in this host is a bit of pain. I assume you’ve already checked out and dismissed fileden, which also offers hot-linking.

(Is hot-linking even the right term? Or is it playtagging?)

Charlie, I was going to ask you about that, thanks for the link. :)

mjrc, this whole thing is a pain, I am going to check now.

    Mentok, hot-linking? I am not following…

When you click on the links from on ezarchive and fileden, it plays the song within the browser, streaming as it downloads. With your current host (I’ve tried this on two computers and two browsers) it just downloads the song. A minor inconvenience.

Oh, and I really like the movie as well.

Yep, all works good. EZarchive? Not so good. Will be intersting to see how/if they can survive what will undoubtedly be a mass exodus of disgruntled users.

And I love the film. Especially the end. Makes me cry…

Mentok, I added those little delicious tags so now you can listen to the song straight on the page. Brilliant!! Those tags are awesome.
    Thanks Charlie.

FiL, I am also interested to see if EZ can handle the massive loss…They are screwed. What are you planning on using? Sticking with EZ?

And I cry at the end of Eternal too. :) Shhhh it will be our little secret.

This is actually much better than previously. Before, the links played in the browser but it went to a new page to do so. Now we can enjoy the tunes while reading. Delicious indeed!

…Only now you’ll have to put more words up so we have more to read while listening. I’m sorry, I don’t make the rules, I just enforce them ;-)

Totally at the moment loving! It seems way faster at both ends than ezarchive ever was.

i love the hell out of that movie. and jon brion’s score just floors me every single time.

  12. Rachel on October 30th, 2006 8:37 pm

Yeah!!!! Everyone is happy, which makes me happy. :)

Chad, I couldn’t agree more. Film’s such as Eternal are few and far between.

Gosh, I love this movie. And i totally love the song as well. I could watch the movie over and over again. It is just so darn beautifully made!!
