Come to think about it, I must come off to some as quite a bore…Well I am most certainly a mellow brew to say the least…But I do rock out on a daily basis even if it is just for a moment. I must admit the rock side of me is bit more mainstream than I would like it to be, but I do try to expand my horizons as much as possible.
I suppose the phrase “rock out” is really quite relative…For me? “rocking out” is me just letting go, throwing out the genre’s, the classifications, and anything else that may hinder my ability to enjoy the music for what it is, great music ;)

I had originally started this mix out with a “new release” restriction, but I don’t think that would be an accurate example of “Rachel Rock” (yeah I am fully aware of my lameness there)
Anyways, I have opened it up to just some of my favorite rock tracks…I am really opening myself up here, I think this mix exposes a side of me that is rarely seen by most…I don’t know what that means.

1. Exo-Politics (mp3 expired),

Muse (album available here)

2. The Ghost Of You (mp3 expired),

My Chemical Romance (album available here)

3. Mass Destruction (mp3 expired)

Faithless (album available here)

4. Heart In A Cage (mp3 expired)

The Strokes (album available here)

5. Cold (mp3 expired)

Lacuna Coil (album available here)

6. Fuck Authority (mp3 expired)

Pennywise (album available here

7. We’re All To Blame (mp3 expired)

Sum 41 (album available here)

Well, I am sure this will be quite a handful for EZ to take…Hopefully it won’t go into a coma.

I bid you all a goodnight, a good morning and a good afternoon (so many time zones, so little time) That didn’t really make much sense, but whatever, I am sleepy…Does that excuse work? ;)

There’s nothing wrong with mainstream and like you said it’s all about rocking out and the music. Muse, Lacuna Coil and My Chemical Romance are my favorites on this mix, good job!

Merz speaks the truth. Mainstream, sidestream, as long as you bathe in the stream. And avoid certain tepid swamps, like Celine Dion. But that’s just me. And she don’t rock anyway.

Unlike you – you rock in so many ways!! Melllow brew, but with the right amount of fizz & foam.

Thanks for sharing. I particularly pogoed in place to the Pennywise, much like a startled armadillo…

Thanks guys, I was half out of it last night, I was pratically asleep at the board but I was determined to at least post something…I will hopefully have more tonight. :)

I am so looking forward to downloading this selection and meh-podding it. But it’s late and I need to sleep, so will need to do this Next Day.

It really is quite a change from your usual offerings here at Untitled. And change can be very good. As can opening up and showing all sides of one’s musical terrain, within reason of course…

I mean, I would never admit to secretly being quite interested in hearing what Slayer might have to offer…

    *Oh*

NB: ‘rock out’ = any track with more than an acoustic guitar, whispery vocals and some cello in it. :)

    *Pulls devil sign with hands*

    *Slips into black hoodie*

    *Looks moody*

    *Rocks OUT!!!!!!*

You gotta turn it up loud every so often. I myself have recently purchased some Rocket From The Crypt and it rocks my socks.

Sometimes you just need to let go!

If only we could all get together sometime for a little gentle pogoing mosh pit.

I like the pogoing Idea, but I would, wouldn’t I??

How about we triangulate (or quadrangulate, pentangulate, heptangulate, whatever) a meeting location? You know, draw a straight line from each of our locations and wherever they intersect, that’s where we’ll meet. Provided, of course, there’s land nearby…

I know time/posts have moved on etc but I’m still totally hooked on this mix and the My Chemical Romance track…

    So, thank-you… again :)
