Sunset Rubdown, Shut Up I Am Dreaming

I do apologize for the lack of posts, I have reached my limit on EZ and since my employer goes by the pay later rather than sooner policy I literally have no money…Saturday we went into Fingerprints, I am not sure why, I guess I was in a masochistic mood, but I actually just love the smell of the place…(I also just lost like a bunch of readers just saying that I am sure, but oh well)I have been just Blah! Fighting battles with my self again, a one way ticket to no where land. Kind of getting down on my self, it being July and all…Turning 25 in 16 days…25!?! Seriously. For some one who has always welcomed her birthday with open arms this feeling that is developing now is a little scary…*sighs*

So cheers to something…Ah yes, cheers to Sunset Rubdown! Some may have heard of this Canadian band and some have not, to those who have not…One track tonight off of their May 2, 2006 release, for more samples check out their
my space.

    25?!?!?

You got nothing to worry about. Best days still ahead of you.

Now if you were 28 and beginning to suffer from male pattern baldness, that would be a different matter. I’ve said too much. I would ask to borrow a hat but hats don’t suit me. Not a single one.

Anyway, the singers voice reminds me of someone and that’s gonna bug me all night until I think of it.

I would give you a hat, if I had one, but hats don’t suit me either…
Screw hats!!! ;) We don’t need them anyway.

Spencer Krug ring a bell? It’s ok it didn’t ring any bells for me either…The keyboardist from Wolf Parade is the man behind Sunset Rubdown. Certainly a creative lad with a lot of energy. :)

Thanks so much for the smiles, as always.

Ooh-aarr, I remember when I were 25. Beer was tuppence a gallon – Ould Carbolic Acid, would strip yer gullet smooth. Running water? Hah! Mum would run us through the sheep dip every Saturday. Went down Yardley pit at three every morning to dig lavender soap for twelve hours straight. ‘Orrible, it were ‘orrible…

And yes, don’t the best record stores smell simply WONDERFUL???

“The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers.”

    -M. Scott Peck

I am sure you will accomplish all you do desire. So take care of yourself, I am always here for you.

Is it just me or is this line…

‘I’ve heard of creatures who eat their babies…’

… delivered with just a little bit *too* much glee in his voice?

    Genuinely disturbing!

    But also quite brilliant.

Down with hats. Especially Beanies. They just don’t work people. Not for anyone. Don’t care if you are an MTV presenter or not. Just leave them alone…

Fil, you crack me up. ‘Orrible’ LOL Seriously you need to be writing many books, because your writing is just excellent. And I am glad you share my love for record store smells, tis divine.

Opray, thanks for the quote my dear, your words help to wipe away any doubt. :) Lovely quote, indeed.

Colin, that line totally sticks out as if it is the only lyric in the song…I was a little scared. But when you listen to it a few times it seems to fade in with the rest of the song…Sort of, either that or their subliminal message is working on me

I am with you as well with the whole beanie obsession. I have yet to see someone actually pull this look off.
