Today it was unbearably hot, so you know I was miserable, now there is a chilly wind picking up…Eerie
The last couple of days have been quite strange, some crazy work related things have my head spinning…I will elaborate later at some point, when I sort through the rubble.
I am quite tired and bed is inviting me to sleep. It will be lovely…
So tonight I leave you with some music from the Devics and their new album Push The Heart (March 2006)
mp3: Devics, Lie to me (mp3 expired)
mp3: Devics, Moments (mp3 expired)

(sigh)…
Absolutely my kind of music. And yet further proof I really don’t get out enough and live my life in a cultural wilderness and abyss: this is another band I knew very little about. Almost nothing, in fact.
And that’s plain embarassing.
(scuffles off, red in face, to get reading and listening)
ps. ‘if we cannot see’ is just heart-breakingly gorgeous… almost too good to play. (well… you know what I mean – just an incredible piece of music)
pps. thanks. again. :)
Reading this comment filled my heart with joy. Knowing I have turned you on to a band you have never heard of…

There are no words to express how this feels, but I know you know exactly what I am talking about. For every introduction found here, you have in turn brought at least two new bands to my attention that were previously unheard of.
I can not thank you enough for your support, it means so much. :)
Oh Colin, but just think how dreadfully boring it’d be if we had already discovered all the music that would ever mean anything to us. Did I say ‘boring?’ I meant to say unspeakably nihilistic…
Lovelybelle, The Devics were totally unknown to me. And tonight I’ve enjoyed discovering them. Many thanks!

I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to actually listen to the songs in this post.
Love her voice – really dreamy (if that can be said without me sounding like some soppy girl from a bad highschool based movie shortly before she’s turned into vamp hottie number one – hmmm not the best analogy I’ve ever used)
As ever, thanking you.
Love The Devics. Thank you for the tunes!
Thank you for reminding me how wonderful Devics are! I didn’t know that they had a new(ish) album out, but I’ll definitely be on the lookout for it now.
