When you are driving on the highway going 80 mph and you see something which resembles cardboard, keep in mind that objects may appear to be a lot of things while going 80…And there is a slight possibility that it could be something a lot heavier than cardboard…Like wood, a solid board of wood.

Yeah, so I ran over a board of wood…

After the loud bang, I hear a scraping sound coming from the bottom of my car…I was either dragging the board or some part of my car on the road.

Damage= Bumper was wounded with a nice deep gash to the bottom grill (I don’t know if this is the actual term for this part of the car but it sounds good)
And the plastic cover that protected the bottom of my car was hanging off…It could of been a lot worse, but it did take me an 1:30 longer to actually arrive home.

Anyways…I know Alexi is still quite the talk (I love him)

I have been wanting to post something…But I have yet to get to Fingerprints to pick it up, I know I could most certainly purchase it online but I would really rather have it in my hands rather than in my mailbox…I am impatient…

But I did come across something new that I thought I would share. Although this band didn’t blow me away, it seems like it is growing on me quite rapidly.

Tanakh, is lead by singer Jesse Poe and they recently just came out with their fourth album, Ardent Fevers in April.

I am really enjoying this band, and they most certainly put a smile to my face…Even after the freeway fiasco.

The freeway fiasco… woah… that could have been very, very serious… be careful when out and about. We’d miss you! :) ‘Bottom grill’ sounded right (and good) to me. Like you know what you are talking about. But I’m not a big car person… I use the train and the bus most days, Glasgow is that kind of city – public, accessible, hop on and hop off…

So, yes, Alexi is still the talk of the town :) You are now far from alone in loving him. Who will it be – Sufjan or Alexi? Well, I’d run away with either of them! :)

Clearly you have the midas touch when it comes to discovering good music… Jesse Poe is yet another ‘new’ name and find for me… ‘Restless Hands’ is particularly good. Playing it as I type. Thanks.

Argh! That sounded like, in the words of Iggy & The Stooges, No Fun. Please, don’t join the car crash set…

I may be slow, but I do detect a recurring theme of “Hate the Freeway.” Any chance the real free way might be out of LA…?

Colin, thanks for looking out…And as soon as I can I plan to move to place that is not so dependent on cars…

How could you even put “S” and Alexi in the same sentence? ;) I am just giving you a hard time. But you know my answer…Alexi hands down.

I am glad you enjoyed Tanakh.

Fil, yes the real free way is certainly the road right out of LA. :) hehe Thanks for the chuckle.
