Fantastic! I can’t get enough of them. Their self titled EP was released on Sept. 19th and I admitted along time ago that I am a major sucker for indie rock embellished mini-symphonies and this 8 member band does a damn good job of delivering just what I like. I look forward to their Spring full length release. :)

In other news:
A congratulations to the amazing Alexi Murdoch! Rolling Stone Magazine featured him in their Top Ten Artists to Watch list which hit news stands on Sept.21st. I of course had to pick up a copy and I am glad I did because there is a mini article that just made me smile for the last 3 days. :)
Also, Ben Kweller did a free in store at my favorite record store Fingerprints today. So since none of you were with me to hear just how awesome he sounds up close and personal I thought I would post a track from his new album and perhaps convince some to purchase the happy acoustic indie pop that he creates.

Yes, that ghost can come dance chez moi anytime, as long as he (she?) brings more of this groovy music.
Must say that I picked out bits of Styx’s “Sailing Away” and Blur from the beginning of “To French Ave.” Quite the combination, eh?
But as for “Organ,” I clicked on the clicky link, but all I got was this lousy error message:

You must be patient with ezarchive as you well know. :)

Most pleased ezarchive decided to cough up this little gem. Again, I hear all sorts of bits & pieces therein. Starts off like Toni Basil’s “Mickey” grooving with Public Image circa “Flowers of Romance.” Then breaks out into Polyphonic Spreedom, followed by a detour into New Order and a swim through Camera Obscuraesque horns.
All of which is very, very good indeed. And well deserving of the applause & cheering at the end. Huzzah!
