A New Year
I know that for the last 6 months there have been a serious lack of posts here at Untitled Records and for that I apologize but I thank my loyal readers who have stuck with me through these somewhat rocky times.
I got a new job that I like as a web content coordinator, it is a full time position and it is also located in LA’s West Side Village so it is about an hour commute for me every morning and evening. But I really want to post everyday because I have the content in my head I just need to get it out. Anyways the long and the short of it is that tonight will begin a new year of posts and regular content everyday. Thanks for sticking with us here at Untitled Records and I look forward to 2008. Stay tuned!

thank you
Hey kiddo, don’t even try telling me about your commute: mine’s 137 miles–each way–every day. ;)
Good luck with the new gig; if you start doing “web content coordinating” for the Band of Horses, you and I are going to need to have a long, long talk…:)
“if you start doing “web content coordinating†for the Band of Horses, you and I are going to need to have a long, long talk…:)” Ha! That made me chuckle.
But holy hell! Why do you commute 137 miles?! That is insane…You are insane! ;-P
You are right, I have no right to complain…But I still think you are insane.
Sheesh, here I was whining about how next month my commute was going to be a half hour or more each way! I feel guilty now.
Well, not really guilty. Glad to hear you have a more interesting job, Rachel. I hope it goes well!
I was living on the beach in a small town in North Florida when I got hired by NASA to work on the shuttle program. The first year you are there carries a bit of uncertainty as Congress always screws with NASA’s budget and last in is first out, so I decided not to sever ties with people I knew in the area that would hire me back should I need it. Well, to make a long story less long, it’s been 11 years now and I guess they are keeping me around, but I do like the area I live in and decided to stay. I’ve got the drive time down to a science, and have a laptop that lets me talk to it when I have some brain activity. I really don’t mind the drive anymore…actually, it’s all interstate highway and quite relaxing most of the time. And I get TONS of time to listen to music during the drive. I considered buying a helicopter, but since they are expensive as hell and I don’t know how to fly one, that kind of killed that thought.
To answer your second concern, yes, I’m insane. But it carries little paperwork so I’m down with that :)
