Lights Out Asia, Tanks and Recognizers
The wedding was fabulous and a lot of fun. It felt good to reconnect with family and friends and everything was beautiful; I think all the guests were filled with love after the event, it was really quite lovely. And I was their witness for their marriage license, I felt quite special. :-)
I thought we would ease into the week with some electronic ambient sounds from Lights Out Asia. Their new album has captivated my soul with it’s magical shoe-gaze electronica and ravishing multi-layered arrangements. This Wisconsin group has certainly won me over with this sophomore release and I highly recommend checking out other songs on this album like, March Against The Savages and Art Divided By Science that were just too long to post but gorgeous indeed. Enjoy!

Those were funky cool… I think these guys are the kings of clever names. I know that I know nothing and about 10 people will come up with bands that I haven’t heard of with clever…er names, but they can’t say them Tanks better Recognize!! *snap*
Darling Pip “Tanks and Recognizers” is the album name “Lights Out Asia” is their band name. Which I might add are both pretty cool names, so yes they are very good at coming up with good names. Glad you liked the tunes.
I’m just astounded that there are people not from Toronto writing songs about Toronto. And that the title doesn’t include the word “sucks”. It is a wonderous age in which we live ;-)
Cool tunes. I’ve reorganized my downloads file system. Instead of trying to categorize by style or fussing with a new folder for each new band (too many!), I’m saving them by the name of the person I got them from. That way, I’ll know who to squeal on if the music cops come calling and I have to cut a deal ;-) (joking!)
These were the first entries in my “Rachel” folder. Just thought you’d like to know that. ;-)
Cool thanks, it pleases me to hear that someone has a “Rachel Folder” Thanks Mentok! ;-)
rach-i was grooving to these over and over yesterday. i really like. thanks.
You are welcome, I haven’t heard some good electronic experimental goodness for awhile so this album was a breath of fresh air for me too. :-)
