Melanie Campbell, Spencer Krug, Carey Mercer, Michael Rak and McCloud Zicmuse are the main members of Frog Eyes and Absolutely Kosher just released their new album Tears of the Valedictorian.
And I think we all agree that Mr. Krug can do no wrong, this album is no exception.

I didn’t know that Spencer was still involved in Frog Eyes, so I am looking forward even more to this album
Anon knows what he/she is spitting. In fact, Spencer credits his inspiration to Carey Mercer. They used to be college roommates, and Krug says that Carey’s ability to write what he felt so honestly is what got him to consider side projects. I’m more of a Spencer fan meself, but Carey has the more impactful voice.
I forget where I read this: “Carey sings like he is a monster trying to be a man, and Krug like a man trying to be a monster”

you know what a huge spencer krug fan i am, but i just don’t like frog eyes that much. it’s too weird–hard to believe i’m saying that! : )
this was a AOTY contender (until I heard Handsome Furs, holy shit!).
But, I love this album…. think I need to go put it on!
