So if you can make it through the Arcade Fire excitement you can also listen to a track off Maria Taylor’s new release, Lynn Teeter Flower.
And for a little pick me up take a listen to the 80’s punk pop-rock of Charlotte Hatherley off her 2007 release, The Deep Blue.
Next up I’ll kick off my 10 day SXSW 2007 post fest because I have been wishing on stars and I have been tossing pennies into fountains for some sort of miracle takes place and I wake up one day between the 9th-18th in Austin, TX and I see and hear some of the greatness that is bound to take place…But alas I think the odds of this actually happening are some what laughable so to take some of the bummer blues I will post a SXSW 2007 band a day for ten days. Weeeeeeee

will the arcade fire go away already!?
that maria taylor record is at least 10 times better than neon bible, but will recieve about 1/100 of the attention.
tis a damn shame.
i’m with you on this one, sister. let’s just take a little vacation from real life and meet up in austin, the hell with responsibilities!
and even tho i’m a self-admitted arcade fire freak, i’m also a huge fan of maria taylor, and i agree with you that her music deserves a lot more attention than it gets.
Rachel, Thanks for the tip on Maria Taylor!

Matthew, dude I have heard like one song from Neon Bible, I have to wait till the hype dies down for me to enjoy Arcade Fire’s new one. I totally agree with you.
Marcy, we should so take a vacation, are you going next year? I plan on attending…Missing out this year really woke me up so now I am getting my ass in gear.
Merz, you are quite welcome enjoy the rest of album! :)
in my dreams i’m going. ;-)
i don’t know if i could ever swing it. maybe for a long weekend. i suppose i could start planning now and maybe it would work, but chances are slim, i’m afraid. let’s face it, i’m lucky to get into philly once a month for a show! it sure would be fun, tho. *sigh*
I want SXSW to go away far more than Arcade Fire. It’s not even for *fans*.
