It is pretty cool when you play an album whether it be for the first or hundredth time the melodies spin and twirl their way into your head and the beat marches it’s way in and then it all just resonates inside, making it’s home, making you feel…

Explosions In the Sky released their new album today in this Northern part of the world, All of A Sudden I Miss Everyone.

I think it is fucking brilliant.

Welcome, Ghosts (mp3 expired)

Sweet John you will enjoy your drive home, check out the epic It’s Natural To Be Afraid, track 3.

Tsuru, I always think waiting till the actual release date gives the first listen a little added punch. Glad you enjoyed.

eits have already sold out their show in philly, so i’d jump on any tickets while they’re still out there.

i’m saving up my $ for arcade fire, andrew bird, and now this. my local record store is gonna love that i have a job now and will spend even more bucks than i usually do. :0

So it’s just me who thinks this album’s a little disappointing then?

Maybe I need to let it soak in a bit longer. It’s alright but on first few listens, not a patch on previous records.

I still wouldn’t miss them live though as last time I saw them, theye were just amazing. If only they’d do a proper tour of England. And by proper tour, I mean come somewhere near my house.

Tsuru, I understand and I am with you in Heaven on the Shins.

Marcy, I noticed their Philly show was sold out, the closest they are playing to me is SD and as you know I have no job…And yes your local record shop is going to be rolling! ;-)

coxon, I think you should let it stew, shhhhhhh don’t speak just let it stew. And I am with you on their tour destinations as they are little spotty to say the least; they are not even coming to LA…

This new EITS record is beyond greatness. I have had it on constant play for days. I don’t understand some comments that it lacks innovation. Do people expect the band to become some sort of reggae act? EITS do what they do and do it perfectly.
