To The Moon

I currently have a badge that says “I AM Acting My Age” (I think it is going to be a movie put out by Newline…Wait can I say that? If I disappear we’ll know why…But I liked it because of what it says). “See You On The Moon! Songs For Kids of All Ages” is lovely in a tender pop-tastic kind of way. I mean how could you go wrong with covers like “Puff The Magic Dragon” by Broken Social Scene.Cheers!

Puff The Magic Dragon (mp3 expired) – Broken Social Scene (a tad long)

Max (mp3 expired) – Junior Boys

Buy See You On The Moon!

When I was first reading this, I was afriad you were going to talk about those god awful Kidz Bop albums. No one should have to suffer that!

But I’m glad to see you kept your musical integrity intact. Excellent Broken Social Scene track!

I adore the Shins track from this release. Then again, I have this hanging in my living room.

    Oh, and Leia Bell rules.

rachel–i have the “rejected” version of the bss song. it gets a tad freaky as it nears the end. i could send it to you if you want.

fil–do you have the trout fishing in america cd called “big trouble”? if not, you should pick that up for your kids. it’s really funny and good music, too. lots of fun songs that stand up to repeated listening.

Any song or album described as “tender pop-tastic” will make my ears tune in… and so glad they did. :)

Dearest Marcy – No, I’m not familiar with that particular platter. I’ll keep my eyes & ears open. Thanks!

Dearest Rachel – Indeed, it is a lovely version of a song that often ends up being far too drippy. Thank you too! And do keep leaving bits of cheese out for The Field Mouse… ;)

    Rich, ? I am confused.

mjrc, I like freaky…I would love to hear it.

To the Field Mouse, I am glad you tuned in as well. ;)

FiL, “drippy” is a perfect description of this classic song done wrong.

verification word: fcifa sounds like a middle eastern delicacy

    Confused about what?

Leia Bell is the artist who created the poster I have and linked to. She does wonderful work. One of the best in the biz right now re: gig posters.

Other comment was just that it’s not surprising I like the Shins song from this CD.
