Ahn Trio Melodies

I fell in love with this song last night when I heard it on SYTYCD. It is so very beautiful… Perfect. The whole routine along with this song brought chills.
Ahn Trio are sisters who were trained classically in violin, piano and cello. They blend their classical background with jazz, pop, hip-hop and folk elements to create something new and refreshing. Their music is intriguing and there is certain gentle darkness about it that I can not resist. There is not a song on their 2008 album, Lullaby For My Insomniac, that isn’t gorgeous. Check out Oblivion and Heart Asks Pleasure First.

I heard as well on SYTYCD and fell instantly in love! Had you not mentioned “the heart asks pleasure first”, then I’d have missed a beautiful version of one of my most favourite melodies and the rest of their album. Thank you! =)
So since I love this song so much and I don’t think Sony will be knocking on my door anytime soon, I am keeping it up for a weee bit longer.

Actually if you want more Ahn Trio you should purchase them. This blog is only to sample and show people music they might not have discovered otherwise. Support the artists you love and buy their album.
